Need for human resource development in extension organizations

Human Resource Development is very much needed in extension organization as they work with, by and for people based on the needs of people. The following issues of the extension organization reiterate the need for human resource development.

1. Extension organizations are the assembling of two or more human beings collectively seeking to attain some common goal.
2. Organizations came into being when it became necessary to relate or coordinate the activities of the interacting human being as they pursue a common goal.
3. The collection and arranging of the various resources available to the organization is likely to result in the attainment of the stated objectives of the organization
4. Efficiency in administration essentially depends on the extent of observation of the basic principles of administration
5. Proper organization of the administrative staff, recruitment of personnel of the required intellectual, moral and physical qualities and proper relations with public increases efficiency.
6. Extension administration is the effective and efficient utilization and coordination of resources to achieve the objectives of extension organizations.
7. The purpose of extension administration is to create and maintain efficient organization manned by well trained and qualified personnel with proper bent of mind and aptitude to convey the latest technologies to target groups
8. Extension administration also seeks to remain ever available and eagerly willing to solve the problems soon after they are brought to the notice. It should be constantly in search and means and devices that an bring cooperation and efficiency in the programme.
