Some standardized unit has been produced which can be combined in various ways to made it possible to suits the individuals requirements. Such type of furniture are cost effective as standardized unit are prepared in bulk. Wall brackets are the popular example for the same. Shapes and Forms: New shapes and forms have been introduced. In the past, forms were generally square, rectangular, oval and circular and certain proportion were generally accepted as being the most pleasing to the eye.
Modern furniture has introduced the “free” forms which reject Geometric stereotyped. Modern materials and technologies make it possible to mold chair in which the seat back and arm are shaped from one piece of material. Modern styling has also accepted unusual proportions. Much of the modern furniture is still built on rectilinear lines, but the modern designer is becoming more at ease with the use of curved and slopping lines to create different effects.
