2. Tea mosquito bug - Helopeltis theivora (Miridae: Hemiptera)

    • Nymphs and adults severely infest plants by feeding on tender foliage.
    • Necrotic lesions develop around feeding punctures leaving shot holes on lamina.
    • Adults are black and red, elongated insects with long legs and antennae and a dorsal process on the scutellum.
    • Apply NSKE 5% or malathion 50 EC.
