DIAGNOSIS

• It is based on clinical findings and confirmed by radiographic examination. Radiograph reveals a fluid line or opacity in the pouch. Inspissated material may also be evident radiographically.
• On endoscopic examination, a purulent material may be seen at the pharyngeal orifice of the Eustachian tubes.
