Manures and fertilisers

 
• The fertilisers recommendation (g/plant/annum) is as follows:

  	1" year	2nd year	3rd years and above
  Nitrogen	50	150	300
  Phosphorus	25	37	50
  Potassium	25	37	50

• Research conducted at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, has indicated the manurial schedule of 90:10:10 kg NPK/ha.
• The fertilisers should be applied in four divided doses (25% each application) at tri-monthly intervals after each harvest of leaves. After each harvest, 20 kg of FYM per plant is also applied and mixed with the soil.
