COURSE OVERVIEW

  • This course is intended for providing information about the chemical integration of body functions, reproductive functions, basis and regulation of growth process in animals, ability of animals to adjust itself to different climatic conditions and physiological basis of the behavior and types of behavior.
  • After studying this course, the learner will gain knowledge on
    • Hormone cell integration
    • Chemistry and biological functions of endocrine factors
    • Disorders of endocrine factors
    • Normal reproductive process in different species of domestic animals of both sex
    • Basis of lactation
    • Physiological basis of growth and regulation of growth
    • Thermoregulation in farm animals
    • Response of animals upon exposure to different climatic conditions
    • Neurophysiology of behavior and types of behavior in animals
  • The overall knowledge gained from this course help the student to develop study skill ability and test taking skills in the field of endocrinology, reproduction, growth and environmental physiology.
