D5 DILUTOR

Prepared by Tomar and Desai (1961).

• Another bicarbonate dilutor named as D₅ was reported by Tomar and Desai (1961) for buffalo semen.
• The medium was observed to be better than D_5. It consists of the following ingredients

1	Potassium bicarbonate	0.25 gm
2	Sodium citrate dihydrate	11.222 gm
3	Glucose anhydrous	18.750 gm
4	Fructose	5.125 gm

• Distilled water added to make up to one liter.
• 80 ml of the buffer solution is mixed with 20 ml of egg yolk.
