INTRODUCTION

  • The male reproductive tract developed from the wolffian duct or mesonephric tubules.
  • The male reproductive organs consist of two testes (or testicles) which are contained in the scrotum, ducts, accessory sex glands and the penis.
  • The testis produces spermatozoa and the male sex hormone (testosterone).
  • The scrotum helps in maintaining optimum temperature for the spermatozoa production.
  • The other structures help in transport of semen from site of production to the site of deposition ie. vagina
