Levels of sampling

There are two levels of sampling

  1. Sampling: It is the selection of a portion from the whole, which is then submitted to a laboratory for testing,
  2. Sub - sampling: It is taking of the individual amounts necessary for individual tests that may be applied. Sub-sampling often relies upon initial homogenization of the entire submitted sample.
