An ecologically valid assessment would incorporate several components. As assessments should include:

• Parents as significant partners in the assessment process.
• Should focuses on naturalistic observations of children in normal routines.
• Should be non-discriminatory by conducting the child’s cultural back ground, economic status.
• Should plan for next most probable placement.
