Lesson 44 : Role of International Agencies in Child Welfare Development

United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF)

It consists of donations and contributions for the welfare and development of children. The donations are received from the developed countries to be utilized for the children in developing countries, developing countries also make fixed contributions to the fund in terms of running expenses of the regional offices of the UNICEF, etc. in India UNICEF have been functioning since 1949.
