Super Ego

It contains moral principles and values that have been acquired from the child’s parents and society.

There are 2 parts to super Ego

• Conscience: Contains moral prohibitions (what should not be done)
• Ego-ideal: Contains what should ideally be done (what behavior is good, how one should behave)
