Lesson 31 and 32 : Construction Project Management

Introduction

The construction project is composed of various jobs, activities, functions or tasks that are related to each other. These should be completed in sequence in order to complete the project. To meet the requirements, it becomes necessary to plan the project in greater detail taking into account the vast number of activities and the agencies involved in executing the project. The logical sequence of occurrence of the activities as well as inter dependency and inter relationships between them needs to be taken into consideration. For the overall completion of the project, timely and accurate information on the status of all constituents and significant activities and the effect of these on the total project is essential.
