Development Of Network
To develop a network, the following steps are to be followed.
Decide and write down all the activities which are required to be performed for completing the project.
Arrange these activities in their correct logical sequence.
To obtain correct sequence of activities in a work following three basic questions have to be posed and answered
while drawing each arrow representing an activity.
Which activity must be completed before this particular activity can be started?
Which other activities can be done concurrently with this activity?
Which other activity must immediately follow this activity? Consider possibilities of sub-dividing different activities in phases or sections to introduce the concept of performing jobs simultaneously or concurrently.
With details thus obtained, it is possible to develop a network for a project
