Introduction

Managing resources means more than just using them for any purpose. It means analyzing the resources for best use to bring maximum satisfaction. Thoughtful planning, organisation, contract and use of resources can help the person to achieve the set goals. Optimum distribution of resources determines the degree to which a family is actually moving towards the set goals. In this chapter the characteristics of resources, the factors affecting the use of resources by the families and conservation of resources are discussed.
