Functions Versus Non-Managerial Skills

Technical skills are acquired through study and practice and attributes of such experts as the chemist, the statistician, engineer and the accountant. The services of these people are no doubt important, but their skills are by no means managerial in nature. Rather, the manager can employ these men, because they can contribute to the achievement of the enterprise objective.
