Cord

This is also called as cable yarn obtained when two or more ply yarns are twisted to form one single yarn. This can be produced in the third twisting operation. Some of the sewing threads and ropes belong to this group. Cords are rarely used in apparel fabric, but used in industrial weight fabrics, fish netting, tyre cords etc.
