Lesson 15: Satin weave and its variations

Classification

Warp faced weaves are called satin and filling faced weaves are called as sateen filling faced: more of filling yarn when visible on the face/right side of the fabric.

Satin:

Floats on the surface of fabric give a characteristic luster when light reflects from the surface.
