Regular Effects

Effects produced by simple order of colorings in a simple weave can create continuous line effects, hound’s tooth, bird’s eye, spot effect, hairlines, all over patterns and the like.

  1. Continuous Line Effects: It shows lines running lengthwise or cross wise direction of fabric. (Twill weave 2/2 order 2D 2L)
  2. Hound’ Tooth: Also called Dog’s Tooth Effect (2 Twill – 4D, 4L in warp and weft)
  3. Bird’s Eye: Fabric has distinct, small detached spots of color (3/3 Twill warp 2D, 2L Weft Light Color)
  4. Hairlines: Solid vertical or horizontal lines one seen in 2, 3 or more colors. Each line in the width of the one thread. (Plain weave 1D, 1L in warp and weft, 2D, 2L in both warp and weft of basket weave).
