Disperse Dyes

Disperse dyes, formerly called acetate dyes were originally developed to be used on acetate fibers. They are used, now, for coloring acetate, polyester, acrylic, and polyamide (nylon) fibers. These dyes are relatively insoluble in water but are easily dispersed throughout a solution.
