Principles of Graphic Design

The set titles often are very simple. Trying to convey too much information at one time produces ineffective or unintelligible messages. Each image should convey one general thought or idea. Everything presented within that image must contribute to a general central theme. A complex array of statistics can often be boiled down to a simple graph or chart. Titles and subtitles that clarify visual information or give credit to contributors must be clear and concise. Good titles and subtitles do not crowd the image, yet title size is often used to convey their relative importance. Simple images are generally more intelligible images. They eliminate confusion and frequently have great aesthetic and emotional impact.
