The programmes for children are broadcast for tiny tots and also children up to the age of 14 years. All India Radio Children Section caters to the tastes of all age groups. It broadcasts children programmes on Indraprastha Channel MW 819 KHtzs i.e. 366.3 mts. It is the only channel on radio which has children specific programmes.The section has exclusive 85 minutes of Hindi programmes every week.
The children programmes on Indraprastha Channel are:
1. BAL KARYAKRAM : Thursday 5.10pm (20 minutes)
2.CHUNMUN : Saturday 5.10pm (20minutes)
3.BAL KARYAKRAM : Sunday 8.15am (45 minutes)
Children programmes reach to a population of 11.86 crore listeners in terms of coverage. The areas covered are union territory of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur, Meerut, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Shaharanpur, Alwar,Faridabad, Gurgaon, Rewari, Mohindergarh and Panipat.
