Vector-drawn images - meaning and features

  1. Vector-drawn images - created from geometric objects such as lines, rectangles, ovals, polygons using mathematical formulas
  2. Vector graphics are based on mathematical formulas that represent curves and lines
  3. Very smooth looking and can easily be resized without loss of image quality
  4. Vector-drawn images are used in the following areas:
    1. Computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
    2. Graphic artists designing for the print media.
    3. 3-D animation programs.
    4. Applications requiring drawing of graphic shapes.
