The following are the main objectives of training and development.
- To improve the employee's knowledge and skills
- To bring about necessary attitudinal changes
- To develop employees for shouldering higher responsibilities
- To be a source of self-development for employees
- To improve organizational effectiveness and climate
- To provide a rich learning experience to manage the organization
- To create suitable conditions and climate in the growth process of the organization
- To prevent managerial obsolescence
- To tackle the labor problems in the organization with tact; and
- To bring about change in the knowledge, attitude, behavior and performance of the managerial personnel.
