Given the present scenario, following are selected measures that could prove helpful if properly implemented at the community level.

• Promote legal literacy to all family members with regard to the provisions of the Convention on the rights of the child and other legal provisions in the area of protection.
• Education for self-awareness and Rights of the girls.
• Glorify success stories of women who have fought against these malpractices
• Awareness and sensitization about social, economic, political and legal situations and realities.
• Mobilization of community action groups to punish the guilty of malpractice.
• Jurisprudence and speed in setting cases against the oppressed girls.
• Girl child friendly police and social and political administration.
