2.1.2 Primary data
Primary data are obtained by a study specifically designed to fulfill needs of the problem at hand. Such data are original in character and are generated in large number of surveys conducted mostly by Government and also by some individuals, institutions and research bodies. For example, data obtained in a population census by the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs, are primary data. |
