When there is fire onboard: · ShoutFIRE, FIRE, FIRE. · Give the fire alarm. · Findout what type of fire it is. · Alertthe persons in the rest cabin and other places. · Closeall the ventilators and blowers to restrict the supply of air · Start fighting with the fire, the movement itis detected. · Usethe appropriate fire extinguisher · Forelectric fires, carefully analyse the situation, cut off the power supply anduse DCP extinguisher. · Inall cases remove all inflammable materials from the surroundings and also coolthe surroundings. · Donot panic when you see fire, act wisely and do every action in a systematic way. · Theofficer on duty should monitor every action in the ship without affecting thevessels stability. · Fireman’soutfit should be kept in all the vessels.
