Chalkboards

Chalkboards

  1. Blackboards are widely available in rural training institutes/centers and extension offices. They may be fixed to an inside wall or supported on a freestanding which can be moved around.
  2. They are useful for setting down the main headings of a talk, for sketching simple drawings and diagrams, and for noting points raised in questions and discussion.
  3. Make sure that the writing is large enough for someone at the back of the audience to see clearly and that the headings and phrases are kept short.
  4. There is not much space on blackboards and the agent will lose the audience's attention if he spends a lot of time with his back to them while writing.
  5. There are many varieties of Chalk boards available. They are: 1. Fixed, 2. Suspended, 3. Roll – up, 4. Foldable and 5. Magnetic boards.
