Intermediate host Mosquitoes - Culex, Anopheles, Aedes sp
Head end
  • Lips absent.
  • Cephalic papillae present.
  • Vulva situated just behind oesophagus.
  • Muscular and glandular portions of oesophagus without a sharp line of demarcation.
Male tail end
  • Spirally coiled blunt end.
  • Unequal and dissimilar spicules.
  • Left spicule is long and pointed.
  • Right spicule is short, spatula shaped and blunt caudal alae and papillae present.
Female tail end The uterus is filled with larvae.
