  • Haematopinus suis transmits swine virus
  • Heterodoxus spiniger transmits Dipylidium caninum and Dipetalonema reconditum to dogs
  • Pediculus humanus transmits Trench fever in India by bite of louse or by contamination of skin by the faeces of lice. It also transmits epidemic typhus (by rickettsia) by crushing the body of infected louse.
