Vaccination

VACCINATION

What are vaccines?

  • Vaccines are crippled/weakened organisms, dead organisms or individual proteins that are introduced into human/animal to give an immune response that mimics a natural infection without causing disease.

Before going into vaccination, following are to be considered

  • Whether vaccination should be used to control a specific disease.
  • We must ensure that the risks of vaccination do not exceed those associated with the chance of contracting the disease itself.
