VMC 221: Veterinary Immunology and Serology (1+1)

PROCEDURE

• Sensitize a guinea pig by injecting 0.25 ml BCG vaccine intradermally in a foot pad.
• After 3 weeks, shave some skin on the back of the sensitized and control guinea pigs and disinfect the areas.
• Inject 0.1 ml tuberculin intradermally into the shaved area of both the guinea pigs.
• Examine the sites of injections on both guinea pigs and record the results.
