LYMPHOCYTES

• The proportion of lymphocytes may be as high as 85% in some fish species.
• Lymphocytes comprise 89 - 98% of leucocytes in juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).
• However, it is difficult to estimate the numbers of lymphocytes in fish blood accurately as it is often difficult to distinguish them from thrombocytes.
