Internal anatomy of the rumen, reticulum, omasum, and abomasums

INTERNAL ANATOMY OF RUMEN

• Rumen: Left side of the abdominal cavity.
7^th inter costal space to pelvic inlet, greater part of rumen is found below the left para lumber fossa.
• Reticulum: Left side of the abdominal cavity 6^th-8^th rib on the left side on the lower part of abdomen.
• Omasum: Lies on right side between 7^th and 9^th ribs.
• Abomasums: ventral floor of the abdominal cavity. Slightly right side from the xiphoid cartilage to umbilicus.
