1.2.3. Light source

The light source is a tungsten filament bulb for the visible part of the spectrum and a deuterium bulb for the UV part of the spectrum. A mechanically moving mirror change the light source from visible to UV region at about 350 nm and directs appropriate beam of light along the optical axis. The emitted light consists of many different wavelengths.
