10.1.7 Forces changing gene frequency in population

In Hardy-Weinberg law, it was assumed that mutation, migration and selection are absent and the population is large. Random mating is practiced among the parents in the population. But this is not a realistic assumption. Mutation and selection are natural phenomena in populations and the human beings have no control over these forces. The magnitudes of change in the gene and genotype frequency caused due to these forces are discussed below.
