Introduction

Women and children form an important segment of the vulnerable groups and they require special care both nutritional and socio economic. The Government of India has been making several efforts to improve the health and nutrition of these groups by implementing various interventions. The Government has also taken up various awareness programmes to improve the status of women and children.
