Shot sizes depend on the camera angle, field of view, and the camera disÂtance. By physically altering the camera position or the lens, we can achieve seven different shot sizes. Considering an individual as the content within a frame, the seven basic shots could be categorised as shown in Exhibit 1.1, where focus refers to shot size and purpose refers to shot charÂacteristics and usage. When more than one person is included within the frame, the framing may be referred to as two-shot, three-shot, and so on, up to a 'group shot', as shown in Figs 1.lO(a) and (b).
