This is also a good source of communication, entertainment and education for the villagers. The effectiveness of folk drama varies from message to message. One-act plays depict the village life, its problems and solutions; can be written and prepared with simple themes. The messages communicated through the traditional media gain access to the mind through both ears and eyes and the mind produces a sense of richness of meaning in the individual. This creates a high degree of interest and makes learning more permanent.

The subjects for drama stories may be on poor/less yields and the role of demonstrations on improved practices, working and organizations of the rural development programmes, role of democratic decentralization through village leaders, youth. Mahila and Krishak mandals, how to handle village problems like child marriage, wastage of money through ceremonies, dowry, solving problems of education, health, sanitation, role of co-operatives and extension wing and how villagers can be benefited from it, etc. Drama can be arranged at a common place in the village where the maximum gathering can be held. The time of presentation should suit the convenience' of almost all villagers. People feel happy if seeing, hearing and action go simultaneously during the performance.
