The view camera / Studio camera

This is oldest type and still very popularly used for group photos by professional studio photographers.

Advantages
Large negative of cheep value plus the various swings and tilts which correct distortion. Long bellows permit extreme close ups. Accommodates wide variety of lenses, including portrait, telepho, etc.

Disadvantages
Not easily portable, because it must be used on tripod and focused on the ground glass. Cut film holders present problems of their own as in the case of press camera, however, a wide range of films are available for use in film holders. Not usually suited to photography under pressure.
