The following are the main objectives of training and development.

  • To improve the employee's knowledge and skills
  • To bring about necessary attitudinal changes
  • To develop employees for shouldering higher responsibilities
  • To be a source of self-development for employees
  • To improve organizational effectiveness and climate
  • To provide a rich learning experience to manage the organization
  • To create suitable conditions and climate in the growth process of the organization
  • To prevent managerial obsolescence
  • To tackle the labor problems in the organization with tact; and
  • To bring about change in the knowledge, attitude, behavior and performance of the managerial personnel.
