Introduction

The bathroom is an essential living space in today’s home. Now a day it is used as a recreation and rejuvenation place rather than of a space to bathe and is also treated as one of the most important aspects of design in any household. They usually consist of a water closet or toilet, a wash hand basin or vanity unit, a bath tub, and a shower. Because of the specialized nature of the various bathroom plumbing fixtures, it is important to understand each type of fixture in terms of size, construction, use and required clearances.
