Egyptian gardens


  1. These gardens were planted in regular rectangles with trees, vegetables and grape vines.
  2. Gardens were enclosed first by thorn fences and later by brick walls.
  3. The temples were the centre of horticulture, where garden designs improved with new plants.
  4. The introduction of tress from abroad particularly, influenced the temple gardens.
  5. Thus, Egyptian gardening added to the art of garden making a new species of formal and architectural styles.
