Anaerobic Culture Jar

 It is a steel or polycarbonate jar with a rubber sealing ring and a cover held in place by a strong bridge clamp used to culture anaerobic microbes. The cover is fitted with two needle valves for evacuation and a sachet containing a catalyst is placed inside it. The sachet is also known as gas pack and contains chemical which consume O₂ and generate anaerobic conditions. Once the inoculums is placed inside the sachet is opened and the lid is closed firmly.
