Water bath

            This device is used to maintain cultures or solutions in heated water which cannot withstand dry heat incubation or heating.  Water bath is made up of a metallic body containing a heating element.  Water is filled up to a mark and heated.  A thermostat maintains the water temperatures. Control units help to regulate and set required temperatures.  Water baths combined with a shaker are also available.
