• The plant is not attacked by any pests of a serious nature, but wilt disease is a major problem in this crop. The disease can be controlled by improving the phytosanitation and by the use of suitable fungicides like Blitox or Dithane M-45, etc, @ 0.3% concentration for soil drenching.
