Dough based

  1. Deep fried (long shelf life)-Chakkli, Ganthia, papdi, Kodbele

  2. Pan fried(Short shelf life)-Thalipattu

  3. Rolled, dried and preservedPapads of different dhals

Batter type-Short shelf life- Dosa, vadas, bhajis

Assorted whole legumes- Whole fried dhals, dhal motes, seasoning.

Miscellaneous-Dried preserved and fried when needed –Sandiges and wadians

Fried products are made from flours of bengal gram, black gram & rice. Frying not only aids in cooking but also destroys anti nutritional factors.
