Introduction

Copper is an essential trace mineral which is involved in the absorption and metabolism of iron. Copper helps to keep arteries flexible. It helps to transport oxygen throughout the body, maintain hair color, and is used to make hormones. Copper is needed in our diet for a variety of biochemical processes in the body.
