Music

Functions

1. Introduces pleasure of sound, rhythm and melodies.
   
2. Sense of learning and appreciation is fostered.
   
3. Listening skill is fostered.

Preparation

1. Familiarize yourself with music you would like to present.
   
2. Select instruments for children to use.
   
3. Plan for a small group of children.
   
4. Add more material as you gain confidence.
   
   
   
   

Procedure

1. Plan in advance the instruments to be used by children.
   
2. Prepare to participate with children.
   
3. Use drums directly with hand only.

Clear up

1. Warn children ahead that time is running out.
   
2. Put records (music) back in their place.

Variations

1. Let children feel the music in different ways like soft to loud, fast to slow.
   
2. Use different musical instruments like Drums, belts, flute, Jalatarang etc
