Lesson 23: Indoor play activities in ECE

Preparation

1. See the needs of children and arrange the unit accordingly.
   
2. Try to ensure continuity from the play of the previous day.
   
3. Arrange materials attractively-clothing should be clean and set out play accessories in an appealing way.
   
   
   
   

Procedure

1. Keep an eye on role playing activity.
   
2. Facilitate play, but do not participate.
   
3. Supply additional material when needed.
   
4. Do not observe obviously, children become self conscious.

Clear up: Warn the children in advance that it is almost time for the play to draw to a close.
Encourage them to restore order and to have satisfaction in arranging the materials for the next time.

Variations: Using various costumes and materials like hats, empty food packages, milk bottle holders, pans etc can develop new interests in children.
